Hey there, I'm Lucas!
I am an entry level programmer and pre-apprenticeship student who’s always eager to learn and apply my skills to the fullest extent. I am looking for a full stack development position where I can apply my web development and back-end skills and bring strong problem solving and collaborative skills to the team. I graduated from the University of California, Merced with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering.

What I'm doing now
I am currently a student of Dev/Mission's pre-apprenticeship program, cohort #26! Here, I am learning essential IT skills and web development skills. There is a class for IoT as well, where I build circuits with breadboards, Arduinos and peripherals such as neopixels and LEDs. By taking on this program, I hope to build connections with others and open more avenues in the tech field. While I'm a part of this program, I do AI training for coding assistant chat bots.

PersonaCast
A web application that finds TV shows based on the user's preferences of genres and actors/actresses. This application will use airtable for backend and database operations. I plan to use an API to gather live data of shows to display the hottest shows currently.
